Matte or glossy?
Glossy makes colours pop and suits bright, saturated covers — holidays, parties, anything vivid. Matte is quieter and more tactile, holds fingerprints less, and flatters portraits and muted photographs. If your cover picture is a close-up of a face, matte usually looks more considered; if it is a beach or a birthday, glossy tends to win.
