Can I edit a caption that came from Facebook?
Not in the editor — captions are printed exactly as they appear on your account, and we do not rewrite them. To change one, edit the post on Facebook or Instagram, then rebuild your book with Empty cache so it picks up the new wording. If you would rather it were not printed at all, untick that post in Edit content.
If what you want is your own wording next to the photos, Add content → Create a custom post lets you write a text of your own and place it on any date.
