How do I edit the title, subtitle and back cover text?
Open the Titles panel. It holds three fields:
- Book Title — the main text on the front cover.
- Subtitle — the smaller line below it, pre-filled with the period your book covers. You can replace it with anything you like.
- Back cover text — printed on the back of the book.
Type directly in each field and the cover preview updates as you write. Use See the back title to turn the cover around and check the back.
Each field shows a suggested length — maximum 100 characters for the title, maximum 120 for the subtitle, maximum 500 for the back cover. There is no hard cut-off at those numbers: a long title wraps onto several lines and the text size is reduced automatically so it still fits. The longer it is, the smaller it prints, so check the preview.
