I was logged out in the middle of editing
Log back in and open your book from My Library of Saved Books — it is kept with your account, not with the browser session. Check the last thing you were doing before you were signed out, since a change made in the final moments may not have gone through. Then carry on.
Where to find it: My Library of Saved Books → Resume editing.
