What does "Creating your collection" mean?
It means your posts are being fetched and laid out. While that message is on screen the page count is provisional and can show an intermediate value, so wait for it to finish before reading the number or adding the book to your basket. Changing the period, the content or the picture size starts it again — usually for under a minute.
